Traditional drill string indexing methods can require personnel to enter the red zone to observe measurements and verify drill string position.
The Indexer 25 provides a highly visible reference that can be monitored from outside the red zone, allowing crews to verify drill string position without requiring personnel to remain adjacent to the drill string during indexing. This benefit applies across all drilling rig types.

INTEGRATED DROPS PROTECTION

Both the Indexer-25 and the optional magnetic drillpipe bracket incorporate dedicated secondary retention points, allowing each component to be independently tethered (if necessary) to reduce the risk of dropped objects during installation and operation.

INDEXER-25 & OPTIONAL MAGNETIC DRILLPIPE BRACKET

Construction: The Indexer-25 and optional Magnetic Drillpipe Bracket are constructed from durable, corrosion-resistant materials, engineered to withstand the demanding conditions of drilling operations. 
Magnetic mounting and DROPS: The Indexer-25 incorporates integrated neodymium magnets for direct attachment to suitable metallic surfaces, while the optional Magnetic Drillpipe Bracket provides secure mounting to drill pipe from 3" to 12" OD. Both components feature dedicated secondary retention points, allowing independent tethering to reduce dropped-object risks. 
Laser Performance: Powered by a sub-5 mW, 532 nm green laser source, the Indexer-25 delivers a highly visible laser reference while maintaining a Class 3R laser safety classification.

The Indexer-25 offers two installation configurations to suit different drilling operations and rig arrangements.

Whether installed at the index line or mounted directly to the drill string using the optional magnetic bracket, the system provides a clear visual reference to support safer, more accurate indexing.

The Indexer 25 can be mounted at the rig's fixed index line and project the laser onto the drill string. In this configuration the Indexer 25 Magnetic Drill String Bracket is not required.

The Indexer-25 provides a highly visible and repeatable reference for drill string indexing across all rig types.
On floating rigs, it provides particular value by improving indexing precision and repeatability where vessel movement can make conventional methods more challenging. Across all drilling rigs, the Indexer 25 also enables the indexing reference to be observed remotely, allowing personnel to be removed from the red zone during the indexing operation.

Application

Accurate drill string positioning is critical during operations such as landing out tubing hangers, spacing out bottom hole assemblies (BHAs), and ensuring non-shearable components are positioned clear of BOP rams. 
The Indexer-25 provides a highly visible, repeatable laser reference that supports precise drill string positioning during these critical operations, while reducing the need for personnel to enter the red zone to perform measurements.

Powered by a custom-developed 532 nm green laser source and precision laser driver, the Indexer-25 delivers exceptional visibility even in the brightest offshore daylight conditions.
The vivid green line provides an unambiguous visual reference for alignment and positioning on the rig floor, deck, or derrick.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

The Indexer 25 is supplied as standard with a high-visibility green line laser. A dot laser configuration can also be supplied for applications requiring greater precision or performance over longer distances.
